(KPL) The first extraordinary session of the National Assembly’s 9th legislature is going to be held between Aug 5-10, according to the Secretary of the National Assembly Pingkham Lasasimma.
A press conference on the upcoming session of the National Assembly was held in Vientiane on Jul 28.
The planned extraordinary session of the National Assembly is expected to give people’s representatives the opportunity to discuss, consider and make a decision on the government’s report on the national agenda on addressing economic and financial difficulties and the national agenda on addressing drug issues.
A draft report of the government on the implementation of Covid-19 mitigation measures will be also discussed at the meeting along with amendments to draft laws on tax management, value added tax, income tax, excise tax, and narcotic drugs.
