President Thongloun Sisoulith on June 12 sent a message of condolence to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand following the passing of Princess Bajrakitiyabha.
In a message, President Thongloun expressed profound sorrow over the Princess’s passing, describing her as a compassionate and dedicated public servant who made significant contributions to social welfare, justice, and international cooperation.
He noted that the Princess also played an important role in fostering the longstanding friendship and close cooperation between Laos and Thailand, adding that her passing represents a great loss not only for the Thai Royal Family and the Thai people but also for the people of Laos.
On behalf of the Lao people, President Thongloun conveyed his deepest sympathies to His Majesty the King, members of the Royal Family, and the people of Thailand during this time of mourning, while offering prayers for the Princess to rest in eternal peace.
