Mr.Vongsay Lengsavad, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Foreign Relations Committee, paid a courtesy call on Yangug Sodbaatar, General Secretary of the Mongolian People's Party, during a working visit to Mongolia.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 45th Standing Committee Meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Ulaanbaatar.
During the meeting, Mr. Vongsay expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the Mongolian People's Party and congratulated Mongolia on the successful organization of the ICAPP meeting and related events. He also reaffirmed the longstanding friendship between the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Mongolian People's Party, as well as the close ties between Laos and Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1962.
Mr. Vongsay briefed the Mongolian side on the outcomes of the 12th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, held earlier this year, and reiterated Laos' commitment to further strengthening party-to-party and people-to-people exchanges. He also highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation in trade, investment, education, tourism and digital development.
For his part, Mr. Yangug welcomed the Lao delegation and expressed his appreciation for the visit, describing it as another important step in advancing the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two parties and countries. He congratulated the Lao People's Revolutionary Party on the successful convening of its 12th Party Congress and commended its achievements over the past seven decades.
The Mongolian leader also expressed his country's readiness to deepen cooperation with Laos, particularly through the exchange of experience in digital transformation and the development of e-government systems.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and enhancing exchanges within regional and international frameworks for the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
