President Extends Condolences to Venezuela Following Devastating Earthquake

ຂປລ Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith has extended a message of condolence to Acting President Delcy Rodríguez of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela following the devastating earthquake that struck La Guaira State on June 24, causing significant loss of life and widespread damage.

In his message, sent on June 26, President Thongloun said he was deeply saddened by the tragedy and expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the Government and people of Venezuela, particularly the families of those who lost loved ones or were affected by the disaster.
"On behalf of the Government and people of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and on my own behalf, I extend our profound condolences and sincere sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, especially the families of the victims affected by this natural disaster," the message stated.
President Thongloun also expressed confidence that, under the leadership of Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, and through the resilience of the Venezuelan people with support from the international community, Venezuela would successfully overcome the aftermath of the disaster and restore the livelihoods of affected communities at the earliest opportunity.
The message underscored Laos' solidarity with Venezuela during this difficult period and reaffirmed the close friendship between the two countries.
