Thai Phuan Association from Thailand Visits Xiengkhouang Province

ຂປລ On November 1, 2025, Mr. Sivilay Sengchaleun, Deputy Governor of Xiengkhouang Province, and his delegation warmly welcomed the delegation of the Thai Phuan Association from Thailand at the Provincial Administration Office. The Thai delegation was led by Mr. Thamnong Xontawan, Vice President of the Association, during their visit to Xiengkhouang Province from November 1–2, 2025.

(KPL) On November 1, 2025, Mr. Sivilay Sengchaleun, Deputy Governor of Xiengkhouang Province, and his delegation warmly welcomed the delegation of the Thai Phuan Association from Thailand at the Provincial Administration Office. The Thai delegation was led by Mr. Thamnong Xontawan, Vice President of the Association, during their visit to Xiengkhouang Province from November 1–2, 2025.

Mr. Thamnong stated that the purpose of the visit was to participate in the Kathin Solidarity Ceremony organized by the Thai Phuan Association at Santiphap Temple in Paek District, to travel and explore various tourist sites in Xiengkhouang, and to visit relatives in Ban Mi Village, Paek District.

On this occasion, Mr. Sivilay expressed his appreciation and delight that the Phuan ethnic group in Thailand had not forgotten their roots and continued to visit their ancestral homeland to make merit and reconnect with relatives. He emphasized that such visits further strengthen the solidarity and excellent relationship between the peoples of Laos and Thailand.

During the event, leaders of Xiengkhouang Province and members of the Thai Phuan Association jointly took part in the Kathin Solidarity Ceremony at Santiphap Temple in Paek District. The ceremony was also attended by monks from Vietnam, along with local and foreign officials, businesspeople, and residents. Participants collectively offered donations, funds, and other contributions to support the temple and charitable activities.
