Dear Compatriots, friends and comrades near and far,
On this auspicious occasion, as we bid farewell to the year 2025 and welcome the year 2026, on behalf of the leaders of the Party and the State, and in my personal capacity, I would like to extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to all Lao people living within the country, as well as those residing abroad. Taking this opportunity, I would also like to convey my sincere best wishes to our international friends for happiness and prosperity.

The passing year of 2025 holds profound significance for the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. It was a year in which we solemnly and proudly commemorated the historic milestones of the Party and our nation, marked by great enthusiasm, joy, and national pride. Moreover, 2025 was a year in which the entire Lao people were united to successfully overcome difficulties and challenges, and achieved many foundational accomplishments, including the maintenance of strong political stability, a peaceful and orderly society, continued economic recovery and growth at an improved pace, and the role of the Lao PDR in regional and international forums have been elevated.
I would like to commend the Lao people for maintaining the traditional spirit of unity which has contributed significantly to the cause of national protection and development. I also wish to convey my heartfelt gratitude to our international friends for their valuable assistance and support, in the Lao PDR’s achievements over the past year.
Dear Compatriots and friends,
The coming year of 2026, our nation will enter several importantpolitical events, including the convening of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, preparations for the election of the 10th National Assembly, and the 5th Provincial People’s Councils. Moreover, it will also be the inaugural year in implementing the 3rd Political Programme of the party, and commencement of the 10th Five-Year National Socio-Economic Development Plan (2026–2030). I take this opportunity to call upon the entire Party, State, and Lao people to continue to uphold unity and solidarity, concentrate all our strength and wisdom into creating a new and true transformation, with a spirit of perseverance, enhancing national consciousness, independence, and national ownership, and together we shall further develop our beloved nation to a stronger and more prosperous one.
On this auspicious New Year, I wish all compatriots and friends around the world good health, happiness and peacefulness.
May the year 2026 be a year of renewed hope, where people across the world live together under a blue sky of peace throughout the New Year and forever.
