On July 9, Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, met with Mr. Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Norway, on the sidelines of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
(KPL) On July 9, Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, met with Mr. Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Norway, on the sidelines of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
During the meeting, Mr. Thongsavanh expressed appreciation for Norway’s long-standing support, particularly its assistance in implementing the Convention on Cluster Munitions and funding the UXO-Lao project for unexploded ordnance clearance.
Both sides praised the 34 years of friendly diplomatic relations and growing cooperation, especially in energy and regular diplomatic consultations. They agreed to further deepen bilateral ties and expand cooperation for mutual benefit in the years ahead.
