(KPL) Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Mrs. Khamphao Ernthavanh led a Lao Embassy delegation in a friendship exchange under the theme “Colors of ASEAN Culture 2026” in Hanoi on August 19, 2026.
The event was jointly organised by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations and the Embassy of the Philippines in Vietnam to celebrate Vietnam's National Day, ASEAN's 59th anniversary and Vietnam's 31st anniversary of ASEAN membership.
The programme featured traditional music, costumes and folk dances representing Vietnam and ASEAN member states, along with an exhibition of Hanoi's One Commune, One Product (OCOP) goods and traditional textiles and silk from ASEAN countries.
The Lao Embassy presented a cultural performance by Lao students studying in Hanoi and displayed traditional Lao handicrafts and textiles.
The event provided an opportunity to promote Lao culture and products, strengthen cultural exchanges and foster friendship with ASEAN countries and the international diplomatic community in Vietnam, while encouraging visitors to discover Laos and its cultural heritage.
