ຂປລ Tourism Johor, in collaboration with Jomstay Digital Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd., has officially launched the Smart Tourism Platform Jomstay Johor and the Johor Safe Travel Campaign as part of its preparations for the highly anticipated Visit Johor 2026.

(KPL) Tourism Johor, in collaboration with Jomstay Digital Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd., has officially launched the Smart Tourism Platform Jomstay Johor and the Johor Safe Travel Campaign as part of its preparations for the highly anticipated Visit Johor 2026.

The event was officiated by Johor State Executive Council Member, Tuan Raven Kumar, marking a significant milestone in Johor's journey to becoming a world-class travel destination.

Tuan Raven Kumar emphasized Johor's leading role as the first Malaysian state to encourage tourists to secure travel insurance through an integrated digital platform.

He stated, "This campaign is a critical step toward making Johor a role model for safe travel destinations in Malaysia. By combining technology, convenience, and security, we aim to set a benchmark for responsible tourism."

Mohd Fairuz Iskandar Bin Abdul Aziz, Managing Director of Jomstay Digital Technology, highlighted the initiative's alignment with Johor's vision of creating a safe and seamless travel experience.

The collaboration also involves VKA Wealth Planner Sdn. Bhd., which powers the platform's travel insurance capabilities via easycover.my. The company aims to attract 1 million tourists to purchase travel insurance through the platform by 2025, with further growth projected for 2026.

The Jomstay Johor Smart Tourism Platform integrates a range of features to simplify travel planning for visitors.

With over 1,000 listed destinations and products, the platform has already garnered over 100,000 users within six months, demonstrating its potential to transform tourism in Johor.

The Johor Safe Travel Campaign encourages tourists to prioritize safety by purchasing travel insurance directly through the platform. This initiative reinforces Johor's commitment to providing a secure environment for travelers.

Jayden Chuah, Chief of Insurtech Operations at VKA Wealth Planner, stated, "This campaign ensures peace of mind for tourists, enabling them to explore Johor confidently and securely."

Tourism Johor has set an ambitious target of 18 million tourist arrivals for Visit Johor 2026, focusing on key markets mainly Singapore, Indonesia, China, India, the Philippines, the Middle East and Europe.

The collaboration between Tourism Johor and Jomstay aims to position Johor as a global tourism hub by providing a seamless digital experience that includes easy access to attractions, accommodation booking, and enhanced safety measures.

Tourism Johor and Jomstay Digital Technology are committed to expanding the platform and fostering partnerships to strengthen Johor's global tourism appeal. Visitors and stakeholders are encouraged to explore Jomstay Johor’s offerings and contribute to the success of Visit Johor 2026.
