President Welcomes Head of Liaison Board for Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Experts in Laos

ຂປລ On September 23, Secretary General of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and State President Thongloun Sisoulith warmly received Maj. Gen. Huynh Duc Huong, Head of the Liaison Board for Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Experts in Laos as the latter is on a working visit to the Lao PDR.

(KPL) On September 23, Secretary General of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and State President Thongloun Sisoulith warmly received Maj. Gen. Huynh Duc Huong, Head of the Liaison Board for Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Experts in Laos as the latter is on a working visit to the Lao PDR.

President Thongloun expressed his sincere appreciation to Maj. Gen. Huong for leading the delegation to Laos, noting that the visit significantly contributes to strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two states, and the peoples of Laos and Vietnam.

The President also acknowledged the important role of the Liaison Board, which continues to play an active part in preserving and enhancing the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam. He emphasized that this bond, cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, and President Souphanouvong, remains vital to both nations.

President Thongloun further highlighted that cooperation between Laos and Vietnam continues to flourish across all sectors, with senior leaders from both countries regularly exchanging visits at the central and provincial levels, reflecting the enduring importance of their partnership.

In response, Maj. Gen. Huong expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and briefed President Thongloun on the purpose of his visit.
