(KPL) The Research Institute for Educational Sciences under the Ministry of Education and Sports convened a workshop from Feb 23–27, 2026, in Keooudom District to revise the Developmental Group Handbook for children aged 3–4.
Chaired by Dr. Vongphet Oudomlith, Deputy Director of RIES, the meeting brought together education representatives from multiple provinces to refine learning guidelines for community-based childcare groups.
Officials noted that the initiative plays a key role in expanding access to quality early childhood education. The programme has grown from 73 villages in four provinces to 305 villages across 12 provinces and 29 districts nationwide.
The revised handbook focuses on clearer language, improved illustrations and teaching methods adapted to local contexts, aiming to support community caregivers and strengthen early learning foundations for children.
