(KPL) Laos and Slovenia have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations, aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was signed on 21 November in Brussels during a meeting between Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane and Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon, held on the sidelines of the EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum.
Both ministers praised the progress made since the two countries established diplomatic relations nearly 30 years ago. They discussed expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting each other in regional and international forums. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and global developments.
Officials say the new document will serve as a foundation for closer collaboration between the foreign ministries of Laos and Slovenia and help advance future cooperation for the benefit of both nations.
