ຂປລ The Government Meeting for October 2025 commenced on November 3, 2025, at the Prime Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone. The meeting was attended in person by Deputy Prime Ministers, cabinet members, and representatives from various ministries and organizations, while leaders from Vientiane Capital and provincial authorities participated via teleconference.

(KPL)  The Government Meeting for October 2025 commenced on November 3, 2025, at the Prime Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone. The meeting was attended in person by Deputy Prime Ministers, cabinet members, and representatives from various ministries and organizations, while leaders from Vientiane Capital and provincial authorities participated via teleconference.

The purpose of the meeting was to review reports and exchange comments on the major developments recorded in October and to determine the main directions of work for November 2025. The session is scheduled to last one and a half days, during which participants will study, discuss, and provide feedback on several important topics.

The agenda covers a summary of key achievements in October and the implementation plan for November 2025, as well as the approach for elaborating the outcomes of the 11th Plenary Session of the 11th Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee and the preparation of a report for the 10th Ordinary Session of the 9th National Assembly.

Participants are also considering reports on outstanding international and regional situations, along with updates on national defense and public security. In addition, the meeting will deliberate on several policy documents, including the Draft Vision to 2045 and the Strategy Plan for Developing the National Labour Market Information System to 2035.

Other important items include the Draft Decree on State Land Allocation for Residential Construction and Fixed-Term Land Use Rights, the Draft Decree on Rubber, the Draft Decree on Border Area Management, the Draft Decree on Local Staff Working with Foreign Organizations in Laos, and the Draft Decree on Banknote Management.

In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone highlighted the current regional and international developments, particularly the economic, trade, military, and border conflicts, which require continuous close monitoring to ensure timely and effective policy responses.

The Prime Minister also addressed domestic challenges, noting that natural disasters and other difficulties continue to impact the country’s socio-economic development both directly and indirectly. He urged all ministries and sectors to work swiftly and cooperatively to mitigate these effects in order to protect the livelihoods of citizens, civil servants, and the overall stability of the national economy.

The Prime Minister called upon all members of the government to study each agenda item thoroughly and to provide accurate, practical, and well-researched opinions. He emphasized the need for clear, concise, and constructive feedback to ensure that the government meeting fulfills its objectives and delivers tangible results.
