On October 25, 2025, Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Lee Jae Myung, President of the Republic of Korea, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Lao PDR and the Republic of Korea.
(KPL) On October 25, 2025, Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Lee Jae Myung, President of the Republic of Korea, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Lao PDR and the Republic of Korea.
In his message, President Thongloun wrote:
“On behalf of the people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and in my own name, I would like to convey my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency and the people of the Republic of Korea on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries.”
“I am highly delighted to note that, over the past three decades, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Republic of Korea have jointly nurtured and strengthened the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two nations, enabling them to expand continuously. I firmly believe that, with the joint efforts of both sides, our close friendship and fruitful cooperation will continue to be further consolidated and elevated to new heights, bringing tangible benefits to our peoples and contributing to peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region and the world.”
“On this auspicious occasion, I wish Your Excellency good health and greater success in your noble mission of leading the Republic of Korea toward further progress and prosperity.”
In addition, Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, also sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Kim Min Seok, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea. Likewise, Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Cho Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, marking this important milestone in the 30 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
