Da Nang City Delegation Visits and Works in Saravane Province

ຂປລ On October 29, 2025, Mr. Daovong Phonekeo, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Party Executive Committee of Saravane Province, and his delegation warmly welcomed Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Da Nang City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and his delegation on the occasion of their working visit to Saravane Province.

(KPL) On October 29, 2025, Mr. Daovong Phonekeo, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Party Executive Committee of Saravane Province, and his delegation warmly welcomed Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Da Nang City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and his delegation on the occasion of their working visit to Saravane Province.

During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the leaders of Saravane Province and conveyed his congratulations on the successful conclusion of the 10th Congress of the Saravane Provincial Party Committee. He also briefed his Lao counterpart on the recent administrative restructuring in Vietnam, which consolidated provinces and cities nationwide, reducing their number from 63 to 34. Under this restructuring, Da Nang City has been merged with Quang Nam Province.

Mr. Nguyen affirmed that despite the merger, Da Nang City will continue to maintain and enhance cooperation with the southern provinces of Laos, particularly Saravane Province. Both sides will continue implementing previously signed agreements, coordinating information exchange, developing joint work plans, and sharing experiences to further strengthen their long-standing friendship and cooperation reflecting the special relationship between the two Parties, two States, and the peoples of Laos and Vietnam.

On behalf of the Party Committee, Administration, and people of Saravane Province, Mr. Daovong Phonekeo extended his sincere congratulations and well wishes to the delegation. He also expressed his sympathy and encouragement for the people of Da Nang City as they recover from the recent storm’s impacts. Mr. Daovong highlighted the achievements of the 10th Congress of the Saravane Provincial Party Committee and the ongoing organizational restructuring under Resolution No. 03 of the Party Central Political Bureau.

He conveyed his deep appreciation to the Party Committee and leadership of Da Nang City for their consistent attention to and support for comprehensive cooperation. He emphasized the importance of continuously strengthening the traditional solidarity, close friendship, and all-around cooperation between the two localities, reaffirming the shared commitment to preserve and nurture the special Laos–Vietnam relationship for future generations.
