(KPL/Prensa Latina) Russia, China and India will conduct joint experiments at their orbital stations and then compare the results obtained in different low Earth orbits, the Roscosmos space agency reported.

“Two of our partners in the BRICS group, China and India, already have a national space station in operation or in an advanced stage of development, which opens the way for possible scientific and technological research,” Roscosmos said on Wednesday.

The agency also recalled that the Russian Orbital Service Station (ROS) currently being developed has national status, but Roscosmos is open to international cooperation in all possible areas of work in the context of the program.

In particular, this could include conducting space experiments on board the ROS, validating new instruments and systems in orbit, organizing space missions for representatives of foreign countries and even creating additional ROS modules commissioned by international partners.

The station, which will begin to be deployed in orbit in 2027, is needed to maintain a Russian manned presence in orbit after the International Space Station ceases to exist.

ROS will allow the development of key technologies needed to fly to other planets, primarily Mars, according to Roscosmos.
