(KPL) President of National Assembly, Ms Pany Yathortou and her delegation visited a cigarette factory in Luang Prabang province last week.
The factory was established in 2007 with objective to produce tobacco leaves for export about 70 % of a total production as 30% for domestic market, Deputy Director of Trust Tobacco Industry Import and Export Company, Mr Woo Liangzhong briefed.
The factory, a sole investment of foreigner with its investment of over US$9 million, has been granted a 50-year for land concession for growing tobacco leaves and factory.
After briefing, NA President Pany sew cigarette production processing of the factory and tobacco leave planted areas.
NA President Pany praised the success of factory so far, as created many jobs for local people.
