More than 500 stalls showcasing and selling local products, including One District One Product (ODOP) goods, handicrafts, textiles and food, are expected at the 2026 Chomcheng Boat Racing Festival in Vientiane from October 14–18.
(KPL) Mrs. Chitpaserth Vichitlasy, Head of the Sisattanak District Office of Industry and Commerce, said on October 7 that preparations were underway for the trade fair, which will bring together businesses and producers from Vientiane and surrounding provinces.
The exhibition and sales area will feature a wide range of products, including ODOP goods, model family products, cotton and silk textiles, handicrafts, traditional herbal medicines, food, beverages, household goods and clothing.
The fair aims to promote locally made products, provide market opportunities for ODOP producers and support small businesses and model families in line with the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Organisers expect the five-day event to attract local residents and international visitors, offering opportunities to purchase domestic products while enjoying the festival’s cultural activities and traditional boat racing competitions.
The public is invited to visit the fair and take part in the annual celebration, which combines trade promotion, local product displays and traditional festivities.
