Overseas Chinese Business Community in Laos Pays Tribute to Late National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane

ຂປລ A delegation from the Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce in the Lao PDR and the Chinese Association of Vientiane Capital, led by Mr. Bounlap Santikhongkha, President of both organisations, laid a wreath and signed the book of condolences on August 11, 2026, to pay tribute to Xaysomphone Phomvihane, Member of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR.

Mr. Xaysomphone passed away on August 8, 2026.

The wreath-laying and condolence-signing ceremony expressed the profound sorrow and respect of the overseas Chinese business community in Laos for the passing of the senior Lao Party and State leader
The tribute also reflected the longstanding friendship, goodwill, and close bonds between the peoples of Laos and China, as well as the Chinese community's respect for Mr. Xaysomphone's contributions to the nation and its people.
