ຂປລ The Communist Party of China (CPC) marked the 105th anniversary of its founding on July 1 with a ceremony in Beijing, where General Secretary Xi Jinping outlined the Party's priorities for advancing Chinese modernization and national development.

In his keynote address, Xi reviewed the CPC's development since its founding in 1921, describing the Party's leadership as central to China's economic and social transformation. He said the Party remains committed to pursuing national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization while promoting high-quality development and improving people's livelihoods.

Looking ahead, Xi called for continued efforts to achieve the country's modernization goals by 2035. He stressed the importance of strengthening Party leadership, maintaining political unity, balancing development with national security, advancing military modernization and deepening the fight against corruption through strict Party governance.

Xi also reaffirmed China's commitment to peaceful development and international cooperation, emphasizing the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind.

The ceremony included the presentation of the July 1 Medal, the CPC's highest Party honor, to eight outstanding members in recognition of their contributions to public service and national development.

Speaking on behalf of the recipients, community worker Wu Yaqin reflected on more than four decades of grassroots service, highlighting initiatives to support elderly residents, youth education and community development. She said serving the people remained the guiding principle of her work.

The anniversary ceremony concluded with a call for Party members to implement the decisions of the 20th CPC National Congress and continue working toward the goal of building China into a modern socialist country while promoting long-term national development and improving the well-being of its people.
