Construction Projects in Ngeun District Progressing, Some Works Behind Schedule

ຂປລ Construction and infrastructure projects in Ngeun District are progressing, although some works remain behind schedule, according to officials during an inspection visit led by Kaiyasone Sida, Vice President of the Xayaboury Provincial People's Council, on May 19.

The delegation was welcomed by Thongphan Suksavat, Secretary of the Ngeun District Party Committee, along with local authorities and officials from the Nam Ngeun International Border Checkpoint.

Officials reported that construction of the central building at the Nam Ngeun International Border Checkpoint began on Feb. 17, 2025, and is scheduled for completion by Feb. 17, 2027. As of the end of April 2026, the project had reached 60.55% completion, falling about 5.7% behind the planned target of 66.26%.

The roadside erosion protection project in Keo Don Khoun village, implemented by Vadsana Bridge and Road Construction Co., Ltd., has been fully completed.

Meanwhile, the Namyang River corridor erosion protection project in Keo Don Khoun village, carried out by Chanxay Comprehensive Construction Sole Co., Ltd., has reached 90% completion.

Concrete road construction projects in Luangmixay and Keo Don Khoun villages, launched on March 13, 2026, have also been completed. The projects were funded by  Hongsa Power Company Limited with a total value of 3 million Thai baht.
