Eleven Gold Fruit Company Limited and Nanjing Qiandu Culture Technology Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding on May 19 in Vientiane to strengthen cooperation in the purchase and sale of Lao durian.
The agreement was signed by Elavan Latpakdi and Gao Qiuyu.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by representatives from the government and business sectors.
Officials said the agreement reflects a long-term commitment to expanding trade cooperation between Laos and China, while supporting the growing popularity of Lao agricultural products, particularly durian, in the Chinese market.
The cooperation is expected to promote the expansion of durian cultivation in Laos, improve production standards and strengthen export capacity to meet international market requirements.
During the ceremony, officials emphasized the importance of complying with Good Agricultural Practices standards, including product safety, residue testing, grading systems and export procedures required by China.
