(KPL) The Lao Front for National Development (LFND) in Vientiane held a wreath-laying ceremony on April 7, 2026, at the statue of Kaysone Phomvihane to mark the opening of its 9th Ordinary Congress.
The ceremony took place at the Vientiane Administration Office and was led by Phongsavanh Siliphun, President of the LFND Vientiane and a member of the Party Standing Committee.
Participants paid tribute to President Kaysone Phomvihane, honoring his lifelong dedication to the national liberation movement and his contributions to the protection and development of the Lao nation.
Officials said the ceremony reflected deep respect and gratitude for the founding leader, whose legacy continues to guide the country’s development.
The 9th Ordinary Congress of the LFND Vientiane is scheduled to officially open later the same day at the Vientiane Administration Office
