In preparation for the milestone, the Vang Vieng Ethnic Minority Boarding School in Vientiane Province is organizing a series of cultural and educational activities to strengthen mutual understanding among students.
According to Toulyyang Xaiwa, coordinator of the school’s Confucius Classroom, the programme will include a Chinese film week, Chinese calligraphy competitions, science quizzes conducted in Chinese, singing contests, and traditional Lao–Chinese dance performances.
The school has long promoted cross-cultural learning through hands-on activities. Students participate in culinary workshops featuring traditional Chinese dishes such as steamed buns, practice Tai Chi for health and physical fitness, and engage in various educational exchanges designed to deepen cultural appreciation and friendship between the two nations.
