ຂປລ The festive atmosphere of Chinese New Year will return to the Lao capital as the 2025 Chinese New Year Celebration is set to take place on February 7–8, 2026, at the China Cultural Center in Vientiane.

The two-day event, which is open to the public free of charge, will run daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., welcoming residents and visitors to join in celebrating the Spring Festival.

In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on cultural experience activities, allowing them to engage more closely with Chinese traditions and crafts. Interactive games with prizes will further add to the festive and family-friendly atmosphere.
The event will also offer a chance for food enthusiasts to enjoy a variety of authentic Chinese cuisine, an essential element of Chinese New Year celebrations.
The celebration aims to promote cultural exchange and people-to-people friendship between China and Laos, while sharing the joy, warmth, and auspicious spirit of the Spring Festival with the local community. Organisers have extended a warm invitation to the public to take part in the festivities and experience the vibrant celebration of Chinese culture in Vientiane.
