(KPL) According to a source from Khammouane Province, a training session was held on February 4, 2026, for candidates standing for election as members of the 10th National Assembly (NA) in Constituency No. 12 and the 5th Khammouane Provincial People’s Council (PPC).
The training was chaired by Bounmy Phimmasone, President of the Khammouane Provincial People’s Council and Vice President of the Provincial Election Committee, with the participation of all candidates and relevant officials.
On this occasion, Mr. Bounmy Phimmasone stated that the training was of great importance in enabling candidates to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the positions, roles, rights, and duties of members of the National Assembly and the Provincial People’s Council. The session also clarified key contents of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 26, guidance issued by the National Election Committee, and relevant legal provisions concerning electoral principles, campaigning, and meetings with voters, in order to ensure compliance with established regulations.
In addition, participants exchanged views on the skills, content, and methods of election campaigning, with the aim of enabling each candidate to prepare comprehensively and thoroughly. The training seeks to ensure unified, effective, and successful campaign activities in preparation for the upcoming election scheduled for February 22, 2026, and to achieve the set objectives.
