(KPL) From January 1 to 6, 2026, the Lao–China Youth Development Cooperation Association, in cooperation with charity organizations from China, distributed donated clothing to more than 5,000 underprivileged children and residents in four villages of Vangvieng District, Vientiane Province, two villages in Luang Prabang Province, and other areas.

The activity was carried out in close coordination with the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union.

The clothing was provided under the “One Million Sets of Clothing Donation in the Lao PDR” program, aiming to support children and families living in remote and disadvantaged areas. The distribution brought visible joy and warm smiles to children and local residents, reflecting the spirit of sharing and compassion.

This meaningful contribution helps ensure that people in cold and remote regions have adequate winter clothing, reducing the risk of seasonal illnesses such as colds and coughs, while easing daily hardships during the winter period.

Beyond material assistance, the initiative further strengthened the comprehensive cooperative relations between the Lao PDR and China, particularly among the Lao–China Youth Development Cooperation Association, charity organizations from China, and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union. It also reaffirmed their shared commitment to continuing social assistance activities in the Lao PDR.

The program contributes to encouraging, supporting, and improving the living conditions of people in remote areas, promoting better livelihoods and a higher quality of life, while reinforcing the long-standing friendship and solidarity between the peoples of Laos and China.
