Laos has opened its 2025 Annual Job Fair at the Lao-ITECC Mall, aiming to connect jobseekers with employers and help address unemployment and labour shortages.
The three-day event, running from 12 to 14 December, is organised with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and brings together government agencies, employment service companies and businesses offering more than 250 job vacancies, with demand for over 1,000 workers.
Speaking at the opening, Vice Minister Keo Chanthavilay said job fairs play a key role in improving access to labour market information, promoting legal employment opportunities at home and abroad, and supporting national efforts to create decent and stable work for Lao people across the country.
