Vietnam’s Consul General in Pakse Extends National Day Greetings to Champasak Leaders

(KPL) The Consul General of Vietnam in Pakse, Ms Ta Phuong Dung, has paid a courtesy visit to senior leaders of Champasak Province ahead of Laos’ 50th National Day celebrations on 2 December.

Ms Dung, accompanied by representatives of the Vietnamese Business Association in Southern Laos, met with Mr Souphap Thammahaksa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, at the Champasak Provincial Administration Office on 24 November.

During the meeting, Ms Dung congratulated Laos on the milestone anniversary and commended the country’s achievements in nation-building and development. She also thanked Champasak authorities for supporting Vietnamese businesses operating in the province, saying the assistance has strengthened trade, investment, and tourism ties between the two sides.

Mr Souphap welcomed the delegation and praised the Consulate General’s role in deepening cooperation between Champasak and several provinces in central and southern Vietnam. He said ongoing collaboration had produced “tangible benefits” and emphasised the importance of continuing to uphold the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the two countries.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Laos-Vietnam relations at the provincial and national levels.
