The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Laos (CCIFL) officially launched CCIF’Elles on Thursday evening — a new network aimed at bringing together women of all nationalities, including entrepreneurs, professionals, and homemakers, to share experiences, foster connections, and support one another. The launch event was held at Restaurant Métisse in a warm, welcoming, and inspiring atmosphere.

Open to all, the event attracted participants from diverse backgrounds, reflecting the dynamic social and economic landscape of Laos.
The evening began with opening remarks from Mrs. Daramany Pathamavong, Executive Secretary of CCIFL, who praised the initiative for “creating bridges between women from different backgrounds and offering them a platform to express themselves and support one another.”

At the heart of CCIF’Elles is Emilie Saves, Member of the Executive Committee at BRED Bank Laos (BFL), Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, CCIFL Board Member, and Vice-Chair of Santisouk Montessori International School. She emphasized “The importance of uniting women’s energy to drive both economic and social development.”
A highlight of the evening was the inspiring story shared by Mrs. Manothip Siripaphanh, founder and designer of Naree Fashion Handicraft. She recounted her journey from motherhood to entrepreneurship, sharing her dedication to sustainable, responsible handicraft and her mission to create jobs and training opportunities for disadvantaged individuals in Laos.

"It’s by sharing our experiences that we can grow together," said one participant, underscoring the value of such meaningful exchanges.

The event highlighted the vital role women play in Laos’s ongoing development, particularly in areas of entrepreneurship and social innovation.

In closing, Mrs. Pathamavong invited attendees to become active members of the CCIF’Elles community — to build lasting connections and learn from one another’s journeys.
The launch of CCIF’Elles marks a significant milestone in enhancing the visibility, impact, and collective empowerment of women in Laotian society, fostering solidarity and sustainable progress.
