Lao PDR Competes in 14th ASEAN Skills Competition in the Philippines

ຂປລ The 14th ASEAN Skills Competition officially opened on August 25, 2025, in Manila, the Philippines, and will run from August 26–28. The event brings together competitors from ASEAN member states across 32 professional fields in six sectors, with Timor-Leste joining the competition for the first time.

(KPL) The 14th ASEAN Skills Competition officially opened on August 25, 2025, in Manila, the Philippines, and will run from August 26–28. The event brings together competitors from ASEAN member states across 32 professional fields in six sectors, with Timor-Leste joining the competition for the first time.

Representing the Lao PDR, a delegation led by Phongsaysack Inthalath, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, is participating alongside a team of experts and Lao national skills competitors. Laos is competing in five professional fields: electrical installation, carpentry, food technology, web technology, and graphic design.

Ahead of the event, the responsible committee, together with experts and coaches, organized regular training sessions for the Lao competitors. The training focused on building advanced technical skills and ensuring flexibility in performing tasks according to competition rules, as well as completing assignments within the required time limits
