Pakse Korea Sole Co., Ltd. has launched a charter flight service to bring tourists from Republic of Korea to Champasak Province, with the inaugural direct flight from Incheon International Airport to Pakse International Airport on December 21, 2024.
(KPL) Pakse Korea Sole Co., Ltd. has launched a charter flight service to bring tourists from Republic of Korea to Champasak Province, with the inaugural direct flight from Incheon International Airport to Pakse International Airport on December 21, 2024.
The flight, operated by Aero K Airline, carried 180 passengers, including tourists and golfers, under flight number RF 563. The journey from Incheon to Pakse took five hours (10:35 – 13:35).
The charter flight service will continue until March 19, 2025, with two flights per week, operating every Wednesday and Saturday.
A welcoming ceremony for the first group of tourists was held at Pakse International Airport at 14:30 on December 21, 2024. The event was attended by Sounlin Phetthani, Deputy Director of the Department of Information, Culture, and Tourism, alongside representatives from the provincial Department of Public Works and Transport, local travel companies, and other relevant officials.
The launch of the direct flight service to Champasak has been deemed a success. Pakse Korea Sole Co., Ltd. anticipates extending the flight agreement from May until the end of 2025 to meet growing demand.
