4th Vientiane Book Festival Opened

ຂປລ (KPL)The "4th Vientiane Reading Promotion Festival" or Vientiane Book Festival 2023 was officially opened on November 28 and will last on 3 Dec at the Vientiane Center shopping mall, with the presence of Mr Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, President of the Lao Front for National Development, Mr Phukhong Bannavong, Vice Mayor of Vientiane, and Mr Xaybandith Rasphone, Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and relevant officials.

(KPL)The "4th Vientiane Reading Promotion Festival" or Vientiane Book Festival 2023 was officially opened on November 28 and will last on 3 Dec at the Vientiane Center shopping mall, with the presence of Mr Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, President of the Lao Front for National Development, Mr Phukhong Bannavong, Vice Mayor of Vientiane, and Mr Xaybandith Rasphone, Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and relevant officials.

This event is to encourage and promote Lao people, children and students love reading and see how importance of reading and become progressive intellectuals of society in the future.

Similar event, on October 19-22, the event was held in Champasack province.

The event also promotes new writers - launch new book writing works, encourage teachers to create reading activities in schools every day before going to class, to promote reading in schools, promote fundraising to buy books for all school libraries around the country.
