On August 19, 2026, at the Vientiane Administration Office, Mr. Phokham Xayasone, Vice Chairman of the Vientiane Administrative Committee, received Mr. Chamlak Kanphet, Deputy Governor of Nong Khai Province, Thailand, along with his accompanying delegation.
(KPL) On August 19, 2026, at the Vientiane Administration Office, Mr. Phokham Xayasone, Vice Chairman of the Vientiane Administrative Committee, received Mr. Chamlak Kanphet, Deputy Governor of Nong Khai Province, Thailand, along with his accompanying delegation.
The purpose of the visit was to formally invite the leadership of Vientiane to the opening ceremony of the 2026 Royal Cup Traditional Longboat Racing Festival in Nong Khai Province, scheduled for September 24–25, 2026.
During the meeting, Mr. Phokham Xayasone extended a warm welcome to the delegation, expressing appreciation for their in-person invitation. He emphasized that such engagements play a vital role in strengthening the close, fraternal ties and cross-border cooperation between the neighbouring countries, particularly between Vientiane and Nong Khai Province.
In response, Mr. Chamlak Kanphet conveyed his sincere gratitude to Mr. Phokham Xayasone and the Vientiane leadership for their warm hospitality and continued goodwill.
