Speaking on behalf of the participating schools, student representatives expressed their heartfelt gratitude and deep respect to President Thongloun for authoring what they described as a valuable and inspiring book. They said receiving the book from the President was a source of immense pride and considered it a priceless treasure that would be preserved for future generations.

The students pledged to safeguard the book as a treasured possession and to use its messages as a source of inspiration in their studies. They also vowed to embrace its teachings as a guiding compass in developing themselves into responsible citizens and future contributors to the nation's development.
One quotation from the book particularly resonated with the students: "Life requires perseverance, and we must keep striving in order to live." They said the message would encourage young people to remain determined, overcome challenges, and never give up on their education.

Miss Phetmany Sokmixay, a student from Vientiane Secondary School, represented the students receiving the donation. She thanked President Thongloun Sisoulith for writing Letters to My Grandchildren for the younger generation, saying the gift had filled students with great pride in being Lao.
The total value of the donated books was approximately LAK 32.25 million (32,250,000 kip).
