(KPL) On Mar 13, 2026, at the Presidential Office in Vientiane, Head of the Presidential Office Ms. Khemmany Pholsena received a courtesy call from the newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, Ms. Krongkanit Rakcharoen.
Ms. Khemmany warmly welcomed the ambassador and expressed confidence that her diplomatic mission will contribute to strengthening the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Laos and Thailand, while further deepening ties between the peoples of both countries.
Ambassador Krongkanit thanked the Lao side for the warm reception and reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with the Lao PDR.
Laos and Thailand established diplomatic relations on Dec 19, 1950. Over the past 75 years, bilateral cooperation has continued to expand across many sectors, with both sides maintaining regular exchanges of high-level visits and promoting their strategic partnership for growth and sustainable development.
