Residents of Xayphouthong District, Savannakhet Province actively engaged with candidates for the National Assembly (NA) and Provincial People’s Assembly (PPA) during a campaign visit on February 15, 2026, sharing their expectations for improved local development.
Community members emphasized the need for accelerated upgrades to essential infrastructure, including road repairs, enhanced irrigation systems, and stronger support for agricultural markets. These measures aim to ensure year-round agricultural production and create sustainable income opportunities for local families.
During the visit, Ms. Sounthone Xayachak, Vice President of the National Assembly and candidate No. 1 for Constituency 13 in Savannakhet Province, pledged to be a strong voice representing the rights and interests of the people, highlighting her commitment to addressing local development needs and supporting community well-being.
She also praised the residents’ political awareness and encouraged all eligible voters to participate fully in the upcoming elections on February 22, 2026, by selecting candidates with the knowledge, qualifications, and ability to protect and advance the interests of the people at both national and provincial levels.
