Standing as candidate Number 1 for Constituency 14 - Saravan Province, Mr Vilayvong expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception from residents of Nalachang and Nakatao villages during his first constituency visit.
During the meeting, Mr Vilayvong introduced his professional background and current responsibilities to the electorate, emphasizing his commitment to serving as a bridge between the people and the legislative body.
Focus on the "Three-Build" Directive
The engagement provided a vital platform for voters to voice their concerns regarding local development. The discussions centred on the government's "Three-Build" (Sam Sang) directive, which aims to:
Build provinces into strategic units.
Build districts into comprehensively strong units.
Build villages into development units.
Residents of Toumlane District expressed a strong desire for continuous infrastructure improvements and socio-economic progress to elevate the living standards of the local multi-ethnic community.
A Commitment to National Representation
Speaking to the attendees, Mr Vilayvong vowed that if he receives the trust of the people to represent them in the National Assembly, he will actively champion their hopes and requirements.
"I am committed to presenting the aspirations of our citizens to the prestigious National Assembly for thorough consideration," Mr Vilayvong stated. "My priority will be to secure cooperation and support for policies that directly improve livelihoods and empower our local communities."
He further noted that these meetings are not merely a formality for self-introduction, but a crucial channel for candidates to understand the genuine challenges and grievances of the public, ensuring future work aligns with the real needs of society.
Call to Action for Election Day
As the campaign gains momentum, Mr Vilayvong called upon all eligible citizens aged 18 and over to exercise their constitutional rights. He urged the public to participate fully in the upcoming general elections scheduled for 22 February 2026, to help shape the future leadership and development of the nation.
