PM expresses condolences over passing of former ROK Prime Minister

ຂປລ Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on Thursday sent a letter of condolences to Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Kim Min Seok following the passing of former Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan.

“I am deeply saddened by the demise of His Excellency Lee Hae-chan, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, on January 25, 2026,” Prime Minister Sonexay said in his message.
“On behalf of the Government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences and share in this moment of profound sorrow with Your Excellency, the Government of the Republic of Korea, and the family of His Excellency Lee Hae-chan,” the Prime Minister said.
He concluded by expressing his wish that the soul of the late former Prime Minister rest in eternal peace.
