The Media Department of the Central Propaganda and Training Committee conducted a nationwide advocacy mission to publicize the successful commemoration of three major historic anniversaries of the Lao PDR and to encourage public participation in the upcoming national elections.

The mission, carried out from January 27 to 31, focused on reviewing the successful celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the 50th anniversary of National Day, and the 105th birth anniversary of President Kaysone Phomvihane. It also aimed to monitor public sentiment and the implementation of outcomes from the 12th National Party Congress, while mobilizing citizens to take part in the elections for the 10th National Assembly and the 5th Provincial People’s Councils, scheduled for February 22, 2026.

As part of the outreach activities, the delegation visited technical and vocational education institutions in Luang Prabang and Oudomxay provinces, where it met with provincial authorities, school administrators, teachers, and students.
During the events, Ms. Kongboun Soulivong, Deputy Director of the Media Departmen highlighted the significance of the current period, noting that the Party, State, and people are celebrating the success of the 12th National Party Congress alongside these important national milestones, while preparations are underway for the forthcoming national elections.

Ms. Soulivong emphasized that the Q&A sessions serve as an important platform to educate the younger generation about the Party’s leadership and revolutionary traditions. The activities aim to recall the heroic struggle for national liberation, highlight achievements in national development and national defense, and inspire youth to uphold patriotism, strengthen national unity, and preserve Lao cultural values.
She concluded by calling on students and young people to play an active role as a driving force in building a prosperous and sustainable nation that is well integrated into the regional and international community.
