Champasak Province triumphed over Sayaboury Province 2-0 in the women’s beach volleyball competition at the 12th National Sports Festival, earning a place in the semifinals. The match was held in the morning at the military beach volleyball stadium.
In the opening encounter, Ms. Phouvieng Phousaykham and Ms. Thidaphone Viengsangsom of Champasak defeated Ms. Mano Keo Singhalat and Ms. Pavina Tanivong of Sayabouri 2-0, with set scores of 21-11 and 21-15, securing their progression.
The second match saw military team players Ms. Bouachan Nidin-sang and Ms. Pimphon Boula-san overcome Ms. Chiji Duangvichit and Ms. Rattanapone Singha-vong 2-0, finishing 21-12 and 21-14, setting up a semifinal clash with Champasak.
The Gold and Silver Medal semifinals are scheduled for 23 November 2025 in Vientiane, starting at 9:00 a.m.
This victory highlights Champasak’s strong start in the tournament and raises anticipation for the upcoming medal-deciding matches.
