The third rehearsal for the grand parade celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) took place on October 20, 2025, at the Kommadam Military Academy.
The event was attended by Lieutenant General Khamliang Outhakaisone, Minister of National Defense, along with senior officials from the Ministry of National Defense, representatives from key departments, unit commanders, and other concerned sectors.
The rehearsal aimed to ensure that all aspects of the upcoming national celebration—including content preparation, participation of forces, equipment readiness, coordination, and parade formation—are implemented in a unified, well-organized, and dignified manner.
The General Staff Department of the Lao People’s Army, on behalf of the parade organizing committee, has been closely coordinating with ministries, agencies, and both central and local military units to develop and refine a comprehensive implementation plan.
The 50th Anniversary parade marks a historic milestone in the nation’s journey, celebrating five decades of independence, unity, and development. It also serves as a powerful symbol of solidarity and strength among the Lao multi-ethnic people under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, reflecting their unwavering commitment to safeguarding and advancing the nation in accordance with the Party’s direction.
During the rehearsal, Lieutenant General Khamliang Outhakaisone commended all sectors for their dedication and the steady progress achieved throughout the training process. He noted that the third rehearsal showed remarkable improvement compared to the previous two, particularly in coordination, formation structure, and overall synchronization.
However, the Minister emphasized the need for continued refinement, especially in maintaining consistent spacing between groups and achieving better synchronization of both individual and collective movements. He urged all unit commanders, section leaders, officers, and soldiers to pay close attention to every detail and ensure that final preparations are completed accurately in line with the assigned plan—guaranteeing a successful, dignified, and memorable parade in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Lao PDR.
