The National University of Laos (NUOL) plans to admit 5,670 new students to its undergraduate programs for the 2025–2026 academic year. Additionally, over 8,000 seats are available through separate entrance exams for international programs, continuing education, and multiple-choice programs conducted on weekends and evenings.
(KPL) The National University of Laos (NUOL) plans to admit 5,670 new students to its undergraduate programs for the 2025–2026 academic year. Additionally, over 8,000 seats are available through separate entrance exams for international programs, continuing education, and multiple-choice programs conducted on weekends and evenings.
In an interview on July 28, Mr. Dexanulat Senduangdet, Dean of NUOL, shared updates on the university’s preparations for the upcoming entrance exams. A joint steering committee—chaired by the university president and vice president and including deans, institute directors, and heads of relevant departments—has been established to oversee the process.
The application period runs from July 7 to August 6, 2025, through an online registration system. As of July 25, 5,045 applicants had registered. The application process involves:
1. Online application and fee payment via BCEL One (Lao Commercial Bank);
2. Exam card pickup at the University Club (Dong Dok Campus).
The entrance exam will be held on August 9, 2025, in a single-day format, divided into two groups: Group A: Natural Sciences, Group B: Social Sciences
Mr. Dexanulat stated that the number of applicants is expected to surpass last year’s figures. Exam results are scheduled for announcement on September 11, 2025, with student registration beginning on September 15, 2025.
This admission cycle reflects NUOL's continued commitment to expanding access to higher education and meeting growing student demand across various learning pathways.
