ຂປລ President Thongloun Sisoulith has officially presented credentials to Mr. Thongphane Savanphet, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, appointing him as the new Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Lao PDR to the United Nations in New York, USA.

(KPL) President Thongloun Sisoulith has officially presented credentials to Mr. Thongphane Savanphet, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, appointing him as the new Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Lao PDR to the United Nations in New York, USA.

During the ceremony, President Thongloun congratulated Mr. Thongphane on his new role and expressed full confidence in his ability to carry out his duties. He encouraged the Ambassador to use his experience and dedication to strengthen cooperation between Laos and the United Nations.

The President also emphasized the importance of mobilizing international support to benefit all Lao people, contribute to the country’s socio-economic development, and help Laos achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals—especially poverty eradication and graduating from Least Developed Country status by 2026.
