St. Petersburg Music House artists hold concert in Vientiane

ຂປລ (KPL) The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism in cooperation with the Russian Scientific and Cultural Centre and the Russian Embassy to the Lao PDR organised a concert of three piano, violin and flute artists from St. Petersburg Music House in Vientiane on May 22.

(KPL) The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism in cooperation with the Russian Scientific and Cultural Centre and the Russian Embassy to the Lao PDR organised a concert of three piano, violin and flute artists from St. Petersburg Music House in Vientiane on May 22.

Attending the event were Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suansavanh Viyaketh, Vice President of the National Assembly Sommad Pholsena, Head of LPRP Central Committee Commission for External Relations Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Russian Ambassador to the Lao PDR Vladimir Kalinin, Head of the Russian Scientific and Cultural Centre in Vientiane Alexander V.Radkov and relevant officials, diplomatic corps and Vientiane residents.

“Laos and Russia have enjoyed a long standing diplomatic relations and cooperation. Both sides realize the importance of their cultures, especially performing art, as well as the popularization of their fine cultures and traditions in their respective counties and abroad,” said Ms Bouakhay Phengphachanh, Director of Art and Culture Department, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism. 

“Holding this concert is momentous as it helps strengthen cultural exchange and cooperation between Laos and Russia,” said Ms Bouakhay Phengphachanh.
