Large Buddha Image unearthed on Pheungkham Island

ຂປລ (KPL) An excavation team found on Thursday an Ongpathan Buddha Image sized 2.20 m high, the largest size ever found since the first discovery of Buddha images in mid-March, on the Pheungkham Island, Tonpheung district, Bokeo Province.

(KPL) An excavation team found on Thursday an Ongpathan Buddha Image sized 2.20 m high, the largest size ever found since the first discovery of Buddha images in mid-March, on the Pheungkham Island, Tonpheung district, Bokeo Province.

The excavation area is so-called the site of the ancient city of Souvannakhomkham dating back to more than 1967 years ago.
