ຂປລ (KPL) The Lao government officials gathered in Vientiane last week to review the content of a draft law on investment promotion, in an attempt to attract oversea investment.

(KPL) The Lao government officials gathered in Vientiane last week to review the content of a draft law on investment promotion, in an attempt to attract oversea investment.

The meeting was chaired by Vice President of the Lao National Assembly, Mr Sommad Pholsena and attended by representatives from line ministries, audit and legal committees, and private sector.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Mr Sathabandith Insixiengmay highlighted the significance of the proposal to revise the Law on Investment Promotion, with a focus on the current state of its implementation, and reasons and the need for revising it.
The meeting is expected to ensure that the contents of the law are correctly completed and in line with the National Constitution, other promulgated laws, conventions, and related international agreements.
