To mark the 81st founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the National Defence Revolution Museum under the Second Economy Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) was inaugurated.
The museum comprehensively showcases the WPK’s steadfast guidance over the national defence industry and stands as a grand repository reflecting the absolute power of the DPRK and the unwavering will of its people.

(KPL/KCNA) A splendid inauguration ceremony took place on 11 October, attended by Kim Jong Un, whose outstanding military strategy has ushered in a golden era of the DPRK's military strength.
The Central Military Band of the Ministry of National Defence gave a dynamic performance, followed by the national anthem and a video presentation of newly acquired KPA weaponry. The event was attended by central Party leadership, leading defence officials, and commanders of the Korean People’s Army (KPA).
Kim Jong Sik, member of the WPK Central Military Commission, addressed the gathering. He emphasised that the museum serves as a proud review of the munitions industry's glorious development.
He noted that Kim Jong Un personally initiated and guided this unprecedented revolution in defence science and technology. The museum, he stated, symbolises the great patriotic spirit and defence-building programme of the Party, serving as the greatest tribute to its 80-odd year history.
Kim Jong Un cut the inauguration ribbon and toured the exhibits. Reflecting on the arduous path of modernising the Juche-oriented defence industry, he described the museum as an immortal archive demonstrating how the dignity, security, and peace of the DPRK are defended.

He praised the current level of the defence industry as the zenith of glory and honour, achieved through the tenacity, patriotism, and loyalty of a people who unconditionally supported the WPK's self-defence policies despite severe trials.
He affirmed that building the world's most powerful defence industry is the WPK's inherent obligation to protect the destiny of its people. Furthermore, he declared that the nation's powerful Juche-based weaponry will continue to evolve, dramatically elevating the country's global position, while the museum itself will expand over time.
He concluded by expressing his belief that the museum's staff would faithfully fulfil their duties as ideological guards, forever conveying the DPRK's history of self-reliant defence building.
The event reinforced the central leadership's single-minded loyalty to Kim Jong Un and their resolve to build a prosperous country with a formidable army.
