International journalists toured JD.com's headquarters in Beijing on July 23, gaining insight into the company's transformation from a small electronics retailer into one of China's largest e-commerce and technology companies.

Founded by Liu Qiangdong in 1998, JD.com built its reputation on a commitment to selling authentic products at a time when counterfeit goods were widespread. Company representatives said that principle of trust continues to shape its business strategy and corporate culture.

The delegation visited an exhibition highlighting JD.com's history, technological development, and expansion into logistics, healthcare, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.

Journalists also toured the company's headquarters campus, which is being developed into one of the world's largest corporate headquarters, with facilities designed to support more than 100,000 employees. The campus includes employee housing, childcare facilities, fitness centers, dining halls, and convenient public transport links.

Officials showcased JD Logistics, which operates an extensive network of warehouses and distribution centers in China and overseas. The company demonstrated automated warehousing systems, intelligent supply chain management, and rapid delivery services aimed at improving efficiency.

The tour also featured JD Technology and JD Health, highlighting AI-powered cloud services, online healthcare platforms, and smart logistics solutions. Visitors observed autonomous agricultural vehicles, fruit-picking drones, and self-service digital platforms designed to support farming, public services, and business operations.
Company representatives said JD.com will continue expanding internationally while investing in technology-driven innovation to improve supply chains, digital services, and customer experience.
