Attapeu gets newly built primary school

KPL (KPL) The handover ceremony for a newly built primary school in Lalong village of Phouvong district, Attapeu Province worth almost two billion kip (almost US$250,000) was held last week between representative of the Xayphosy Construction Company, Mr. App Sylone and Deputy Chief of Phouvong district, Ms Phongshit Xaysongkham.

(KPL)  The handover ceremony for a newly built primary school in Lalong village of Phouvong district, Attapeu Province worth almost two billion kip (almost US$250,000) was held last week between representative of the Xayphosy Construction Company, Mr. App Sylone and Deputy Chief of Phouvong district, Ms Phongshit Xaysongkham.

The handover ceremony was witnessed by the Director of the Office of Lanong district Education and Sports, Mr Thython Saophouvong and relevant officials.

The newly built primary school was financed by the government.  The school has five classrooms, one office, two toilets and other educational facilities.

The construction of the primary school began in 2014.

Lanong village is a new village and currently has 94 families.  Most people are engaged in slash and burn cultivation according to Ms Phongshit.

Ms Phongshit emphasized that the Party and government always attach importance to education and expanding educational opportunities across the country including remote areas.
